There is nothing like an illness to let you know who is boss! It took over three weeks to shake a sinus infection/cold and get back to feeling like myself. In the process, I think I gained about 8 lbs. Even at my worst, I never lost my desire to get back to my journey of healthy eating and living.
While I was able to attend several Zumba classes over the last three weeks, I was not able to exercise at 100% capacity. I not only felt physically miserable, but I was really down mentally! Now, I can’t wait to get back to Zumba class and recommit to my exercise plan.
I am also excited to start walking again this week with the goal of participating in a local running event the first part of 2013. Instead of putting a number value on how much weight I want to lose by the end of the year, I am going to set a plan in motion to begin walking and running. I will post the specifics of this goal shortly so I will have something solid to hold myself accountable.
I also plan to be more proactive regarding posting to this blog. Today is a new day and I feel confident I can be successful with all my goals for the New Year.
